Earlier this year, Forrester interviewed more than 60 industry professionals from all over the world to give digital professionals insights into technologies and initiatives retailers are - and aren't - prioritizing in 2020.
This year's report has notable new additions, and divides the technologies and initiatives into three categories:
1. "Hot" initiatives, which are being prioritized in the next 12 months
2. "On the radar" initiatives that would launch after 12 months
3. "Hype" technology-driven investments, which have a lot of buzz, but lack real interest or budget
The 2020 report has notable new additions that include a dozen new initiatives for a total of 30 technologies evaluated.
